Tabitha A. Scott

Tabitha most recently served as SVP at Balfour Beatty Investments and formerly led Innovation as SVP at Lend Lease. As a global executive leveraging years of experience in strategic diversity and employee empowerment, Tabitha created successful organizational improvement tools that target director strategies while developing employees. She founded Cole Scott Group to offer a unique approach to diversity in the workplace via cutting edge strengths analyses, Innovation Labs, and cognitive tools. These techniques are proven to identify individual strengths, increase effectiveness and boost profits. Tabitha is an international advisor on change management and innovation, with several published works. Example projects:

  • Design and implementation of international Innovation Lab “iLab” program, opened direct access to strategic decision-making, market trends, and corporate culture change
  • Switch4Good demonstrated at the White House—reduced energy consumption by 10% with no efficiency retrofits by engaging residents in behavior change program
  • Developed the award-winning “SYNERGY” program that engaged company employees with community residents in ~40,000 homes. The program empowered residents to change habits and was included in the Mayoral Climate Handbook (distributed to over 700 cities worldwide).
  • World’s largest rooftop solar-powered community at Fort Bliss, TX–idea generation, change management and coordinating resident outreach via local school programs
  • “Green Innovator of the Year” award for the Southeast U.S.

Formerly CEO of Military Assistance Company, Tabitha created the first private sector technology link into Department of Defense payroll systems for the Military Housing Privatization Initiative. She was a member of the prestigious National Automated Clearing House Association’s Government Advisory Board, the Government Electronics Industry Association Board of Directors, the Military Comptrollers Society, the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management Faculty, and a practitioner faculty adviser for the Institute of Sustainable Development at Lipscomb University.  She holds a BS in Finance from the University of Louisville, an MBA from Fairfield University, and a Masters in Bank Management from CBA’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management held at the University of Virginia.

Goals: To help companies that value diversity increase profits by: understanding how to maximize existing employee abilities, collaborating with managers to create a strategic diversity plan, and providing female specific training to increase overall employee empowerment.
